Q.  How long will it take me to learn to dance?
A.  Most people learn enough to get out on the dance floor in five to seven private lessons.

Q.  I heard ballroom dancing is expensive.  Is this true?
A.  Any recreational activity can become expensive.  The more you are involved and the higher level you aspire to affect the cost. Ballroom dancing isn’t any more expensive then any other recreational activity.

Q.  How many lessons a week should I take?
A.  Most students take one private lesson a week at your convenience.  A partner is  not necessary.  The price is the same for the lesson whether you are by yourself or with a partner.  Many students also attend the weekly practice party where they dance with their instructor and other students.

Q.  We are getting married.  Can you teach us to dance our first dance so we look good in a short period of time?
A.  Yes!  Typical wedding couples learn all they need to know for that first dance in five lessons or less.  The difference is that you will learn the one dance you need instead of several.

Q.  I want to get started.  What do I do first?
A.  You can start several ways.  You can call me 913-957-0579, or you can email at amycastroballroomdance@gmail.com or you can fill out the application on the website.  We’ll set up a time to meet so I can learn what your expectations are, and have our first lesson.
